T’was late night, close to 10:00
When a tiny scream I heard
And as I turned our Cat came in
With a Bat! Not a bird..
She brings us a present ’bout every day
Lizards, most days we see
Tonight in she walks with her prey
A winged, flapping, screaming bat wanting to be free
But, still, it was a Bat!
What did you do with that bat? Was the cat screeming or the bat?
I know there are bat houses in the yard. Who won?
Was the moon full that night?
No, the moon was not full.
It was the bat making the funny noises – definitely audible.
This weekend will be 2 weeks for the cat – no symptoms of rabies yet (and I doubt there will be).
