I spent all day looking at computers and I finally ordered one at 8:00pm!
I had done some research on several days previously, so I’m more knowledgeable than I was, but I’m tired of it. I never did like hardware.
I wanted to get a laptop that is leading edge enough to last me 5 years like my previous 2 did. It was tough finding one that wasn’t a step backward in one way or another.
The biggest roadblock is the screen resolution. I’ve had a really nice screen since 2005 and I don’t want to use a lesser one. But there are hardly any laptops with this same resolution (1920×1200) – I found only 2 with modern processors. Or they have the same screen and older processors. And most laptops have shiny glare screens. Who wants to look at that? For the way I use a computer, I really benefit from the modern processors.
